Privacy Statement – Processing of personal data

This statement describes how Tricore BVBA, with registered office at Kuringersteenweg 304/4, 3500 Hasselt, company number 0680.715.811 (“We”), processes your personal data in the context of its activities.

We strive to process your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016, on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

The legal basis we rely on is indicated each time during processing.

Personal data is collected from you, your employer, and third parties. We collect or complete personal data through external sources such as public websites (e.g., LinkedIn) and partners we collaborate with (e.g., a networking event organized by a commercial partner).

If the basis is contractual necessity or legal obligation, then personal data must be provided to enable the execution of the agreement or to comply with a legal obligation.

The retention period for your personal data is limited to:

  • Customer management: 10 years after the end of the agreement;
  • Supplier management: 10 years after the end of the supplier relationship;
  • Dispute management: as long as necessary for the management of the dispute;
  • Direct marketing: 3 years after the last meaningful contact;
  • Compliance with our legal obligations: retention in accordance with the legal retention period.


Additional information regarding the recipients of your personal data

We share your personal data with a limited number of other parties under certain circumstances:

  • We share your personal data with banks, insurance companies, and other partners for the purpose of making payments;
  • We share your personal data with government services in the context of legal obligations
  • We share your personal data with our professional advisors, lawyers, and bailiffs as necessary for their assistance
  • We may call upon a number of technical (sub)processors, such as e.g. hosting of websites, files, and records, provided that the necessary processing agreements are implemented


Security of the processing

We have developed appropriate protection for the personal data we process.

No information system can guarantee 100% security. We strive to continuously improve the security of our systems. You also play an important role in the security of your personal data by, among other things, keeping your account information confidential and adequately secured and by using our facilities with the necessary vigilance.


Your rights

The General Data Protection Regulation grants you a number of rights regarding your personal data:

  • The right to access and rectify your personal data
  • The right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes and the general right to object based on circumstances specific to your situation.

  • The right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Belgium, this is the Data Protection Authority);
